"PSHE is a planned programme of learning through which children and young people acquire the knowledge, understanding and skills they need to manage their lives now and in the future. As part of a whole school approach, PSHE education develops the qualities and attributes pupils need to thrive as individuals, family members and members of society."

​Our PSHE curriculum seeks to prepare our students for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of later life, empowering them to become successful members of the school community and society as a whole.  Aspects covered in the PSHE curriculum include:


Sex and Relationship Education (SRE)
Drug Education
Financial Education
Healthy Lifestyles
ESafety in association with South West Grid for Learning
Arson awareness in association with the local Fire Authority
Road Safety in association with Somerset Road Safety
Personalised careers advice and next step support in association with Careers South West


The curriculum is delivered through 'Super Learning Days', weekly assemblies, and daily tutor sessions.  Staff will also work alongside professional bodies and agencies to deliver up to date and specialist support.
